SMS Opt-In Consent

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Plain-language summary: By using BiteText, you agree to receive text messages from us related to your account and meal entries. Message frequency depends on your usage, standard rates may apply, and you can text STOP to opt out at any time.

What you are opting in to

By subscribing to BiteText, you give your express written consent to receive SMS and MMS text messages from us. These messages are limited to account and service-related communications, such as nutrition estimates replies to your photos, entry confirmations, billing reminders, and important account updates.

Message frequency

Message frequency depends entirely on how often you send photos and interact with the service. You may receive several messages on days you use BiteText and none on days you do not. Automated replies are sent in response to the photos you text us.

Message and data rates

Standard message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier plan. These charges are billed by your mobile carrier, not by BiteText. Please check with your carrier if you are unsure about your messaging costs.

How to opt in

You opt in by subscribing on our website and texting your first meal photo to the BiteText number we assign to your account. Completing checkout and sending a photo confirms that you want to receive service-related text messages on that mobile number.

How to opt out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting STOP, STOPALL, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any BiteText message. After you opt out, you will no longer receive text replies, but your subscription may continue until you cancel it in the management portal.

How to get help

Text HELP, INFO, or SUPPORT to any BiteText message, or email us at support@bitetext.app. We will respond with instructions or connect you with our support team.

Privacy and consent

We will not share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes. We use it only to provide the Service to you. Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services separate from BiteText, and you are not required to consent as a condition of any other purchase. For details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
